AGNI is working with the State's Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and other agencies fighting corruption. An AGNI Vigilance Advisory Committee (VAC) was formed comprising two high ranking retired Police Officers, Mr. Satish Sahney (Former Commissioner of Police, Mumbai) and Mr. R. H. Mendonca (Former Director General of Police, ACB, Maharashtra).

This committee advises citizens on instances/cases of:

  • Harassment and misconduct by officials in the expectation of gratification.
  • Assets of officials and elected representatives disproportionate to known sources of income.
  • Trapping of dishonest public servants.
The AGNI VAC acts as a watchdog, both to resist and expose corruption.

AGNI is in the process of forming Vigilance Cells in all the Municipal zones of Mumbai. These will consist of at least three knowledgeable and credible people who can be approached by residents for counsel with confidence. They will screen cases for forwarding to the central AGNI VAC.
